Funeral Education Session

Andrew was pleased to attend a Funeral Education Session in Malone House, Belfast, last week.

The event was hosted by Belfast City Council and was attended by Council members and members from National Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors, Irish Funeral Directors Association, National Association of Funeral Directors and British Institute of Embalmer’s.

The morning brought together funeral professionals and key speakers to discuss issues affecting our day-to-day work, including the Competition and Markets Authority’s requirements, funeral regulation in Northern Ireland and the new medical examiner trials.

The programme included a wonderful reception of Tea and Scones, Welcome from Belfast City Council, Louise Close, Competition & Markets Authority, Declan Maguire, Funeral Regulation in Northern Irelann, Dr Brian McCloskey, New medical examiner trials and speakers from Plotbox.

This was an opportunity to hear directly from those involved in our profession, ask questions and meet colleagues from across the sector. We are proud to support this collaborative initiative and thank Belfast City Council and Declan Maguire for their work in hosting and organising the event.
