Milne Funeral Services are pleased to introduce and promote Katrina Cuddy, a local flautist who has studied at MTU Cork School of Music and Queens University, Belfast.
Katrina has been a member of a number of ensembles including the Ulster Youth Orchestra, City of Belfast Youth Orchestra, Queens University Symphony Orchestra, Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra and Cork Flute Ensemble, performing throughout Europe in world class venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, London.
The flute is an excellent instrument for funeral services as its sound is uniquely capable of conveying both deep sorrow and peaceful hope. Katrina can accompany her very talented partner, pianist and organist Orly Watson during congregational singing or she can be a wonderful alternative for entrance, reflection and recessional music pieces.
Katrina played in our Portadown Funeral Home recently before and after an evening service, this was warmly received and added a thoughtful elegance to the evening.
