Thank you so much for every donation in support of Sarah’s 30 day “5k a day to the runway” challenge.
Unfortunately, the original date in June was rescheduled to 12th September 2026, she was able to complete her 30day challenge in Newcastle with husband Andrew and one of her best friends, Jacqui. Sarah managed to lace up her running shoes last week to run the Runway 5k at George Best Belfast City Airport with over 500 other participants.
“I am very pleased to say, thanks to your support, the total amount raised for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland was £2,000.00 (excluding gift aid which will be added by the charity).
We visited Air Ambulance base on in June to present my donations and hear about the truly amazing and life saving work they carry out. Although the helicopter was out on a call during our visit, we were able to chat to lots of the wonderful volunteers.
I am glad to have ran a total 190 kilometres in 30 days, and the extra 5k last week, not only for Air Ambulance NI, but in memory of my much loved father in law, Ian.
